No news yet...

Nationals vs Braves Game -------- Botanical Gardens

Swollen Feet ----- 96 degrees (going on 100)

We're at 40 weeks plus 6 days now and patiently (sometimes impatiently) awaiting our bundle of joy. She's still very happy in Mama's womb it seems. Daddy seems to think Mama and Baby are still working something out, so is waiting for them to resolve whatever that may be.

Tara is officially the most pregnant lady at prenatal yoga now. We're still up and active (when I'm not icing my feet) and have taken our extra week waiting for the baby to meet friends for lunch/dinner, have the grandparents over for Josh's famous salmon dinner, went to a DC Nationals vs Atlanta Braves game and walked down to the US Botanical Gardens.

Baby Delia continues to kick, move and wiggle so we know she's doing well and Mama's blood pressure is still awesome so no worries there. We also know a baby is not medically overdue until 42 weeks (may we not get to that point though). Either way... we have our next doctor appointment scheduled for Tuesday in case she still hasn't made her debut by then.

We shall eat, walk and inspire this baby out!

Josh landed safely back in DC on Monday morning, so one more part of our trio is here now (whew!). Now just waiting on our finale. In the mean time we cooked up some homemade eggplant parmesan, made famous by Scalini's restaurant in Atlanta http://www.scalinis.com/bambino, that claims it induces labor - we'll see. This morning we took a morning park stroll at 7:45 while the temperature was still below 80 degrees in hopes of walking her out. Tired of being couped up inside we braved the heat (about 90 degrees) and took a walk over to the Library of Congress (air conditioned) to look at the Thomas Jefferson collection in hopes of inspiring her out, in addition we looked around the Bob Hope, Carl Jung and Gershwin temporary exhibits...

The Room is Ready!

Grandma Kim and Uncle Patrick came to help with the nursury room and after a week's work left it almost ready... all it needs now is the baby! Dr. Seuss is the theme. A big thank you for all the work that went into this and all the people that contributed with new and used gifts to get us going, they are much appreciated.

Big Belly Photos!

Baby Gill has been a big fan of dancing in her mama's belly (others may say she's a soccer player). Either way, she sure has grown a lot! Enjoy the belly shots taken by a photographer in our local park!

Coming Soon: Baby Gill

With less than two weeks until our due date, we thought it was about time Baby Gill had her first blog. As most of you already know the ultrasound pics say she is a girl and we plan to name her Delia Marie. We'll let you know when she makes her big debut. Until then please enjoy the ultrasound pictures we have collected of her so far. Love from the Growing Gill Family!
